1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler

Job Description

We are currently looking for a Full-Time 1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler to join the dynamic team at Aldi. As a warehouse package handler, you will play a crucial role in efficiently receiving, organizing, relocating, and preparing merchandise for shipment. The ideal candidate should demonstrate attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Select and receive incoming stock to fulfill orders from stores.
• Relocate merchandise according to warehouse guidelines.
• Load and prepare merchandise for shipment and unload incoming shipments.
• Participate in warehouse inventory counts and maintain warehouse cleanliness.
• Collaborate with peers, suppliers, and warehouse leadership for effective communication.
• Provide input for process improvements and work towards achieving set goals.
• Inspect products for quality, safety, and sanitation.
• Operate equipment following safety guidelines.

Job Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Demonstrate conscientious behavior, positive attitude, and drive for success.
• Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication, basic arithmetic, and organizational skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Lift and place products up to 45 pounds.
• Move merchandise, sit, stand, bend, reach, grip, push, and pull.
• Work in varying temperatures and operate powered industrial equipment.
