Job Description
We are currently hiring for the position of 1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler at Aldi. This is a full-time role with an average of 30-35 hours per week. The starting wage ranges from $19.50 to $23.50 per hour, depending on the shift and schedule. As a Warehouse Package Handler, you will be responsible for various duties such as receiving incoming stock, relocating merchandise, loading and unloading shipments, maintaining warehouse cleanliness, and participating in inventory counts. You will collaborate with peers and warehouse leadership to ensure effective warehouse operations and will be expected to adhere to safety guidelines and company policies.
Job Qualifications
To qualify for this role, you must be 18 years of age or older. You should demonstrate conscientiousness, teamwork, a positive attitude, drive for success, and organizational efficiency. Additionally, you need to have the ability to interpret and apply company policies, excellent communication skills, basic arithmetic skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to work both independently and within a team. A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Physical Requirements
This role requires frequent lifting of products up to 45 pounds, movement of merchandise, standing, bending, reaching, gripping, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and walking throughout the warehouse. You will work in varying temperatures, including outdoor and cold environments, and should be able to operate powered industrial equipment safely.
