Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Operations Supervisor to join our team at ABF Freight, an ArcBest company. As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for planning, supervising, and coordinating resources to ensure the timely, safe, and efficient loading and unloading of freight on assigned shifts. You will oversee job assignments, provide training, and maintain a positive work environment focused on safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and control available resources for loading/unloading activities.
• Maintain appropriate load plans and ensure proper load balance for safe operation.
• Assign tasks according to schedules and monitor performance.
• Provide training, feedback, and maintain a safe working environment.
• Promote safe handling and storage of materials.
• Work collaboratively to achieve department goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in transportation or related field.
• Supervisory experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of proper freight handling techniques.
