Job Description

We are seeking an Operations Supervisor to join ABF Freight, a leading LTL carrier within the ArcBest company. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in planning, supervising, and controlling the loading/unloading of freight to ensure timely, damage-free, and safe operations.

General Description of Duties

• Plan, supervise, and control resources for safe loading/unloading of freight.
• Maintain appropriate load plans and ensure safe vehicle operation.
• Assign and coordinate job tasks efficiently.
• Provide training, performance feedback, and a safe working environment.
• Promote safe handling and storage of hazardous materials.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment to achieve goals.
• Support a values-driven culture focused on creativity, growth, and wellness.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in the transportation industry, especially in freight handling.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong knowledge of freight handling techniques.
