Job Description

We are looking for a talented Actuarial Analyst II to join our team at USAA, a company dedicated to ensuring the financial security of U.S. military members and their families. As an Actuarial Analyst II, you will be responsible for coordinating, preparing, and performing actuarial analyses to develop new products, project future results, and determine financial strength under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire and apply developing knowledge of the business, products, and processes.
  • Utilize actuarial modeling software for pricing, valuation, and risk management.
  • Enter data, run models, and produce reports.
  • Maintain price levels, data availability, and profitability requirements.
  • Identify critical areas for improvement and suggest remedies.
  • Resolve issues and escalate when necessary.
  • Ensure effective risk management in compliance with policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree OR equivalent actuarial/business/analytical experience.
  • 2 years of actuarial/business/analytical experience + 3 completed CAS exams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Excel and at least one programming language or modeling software package (e.g., Python, SQL, R, SAS).
  • Experience analyzing data to solve problems and communicate insights effectively.
  • Previous personal lines pricing experience.
  • Familiarity with industry pricing software like Earnix.
  • Bonus: U.S. military experience.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary Range: $74,210.00 - $141,830.00
