Area Manager, Critical Infrastructure

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Area Manager, Critical Infrastructure to oversee the operation and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment in our data centers, ensuring mission-critical uptime levels. As a leader, you will supervise a team of Critical Infrastructure Engineers, provide coaching and technical expertise, and drive cross-functional initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage data center operations and maintenance to achieve 99.999% uptime.
• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of managers, engineers, and contributors.
• Identify and implement improvements for operational and financial efficiencies.
• Develop and maintain company policies and procedures.
• Drive change towards operational excellence goals.
• Coordinate disaster recovery exercises and ensure a safe work environment.
• Prepare reports on facility performance and customer utilization.
• Conduct data center tours and create operational procedures for maintenance.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of management experience with 5 or more direct reports.
• Experience in root cause analysis and critical infrastructure environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced electrical/mechanical certifications or relevant engineering degree.
• 5+ years in data centers with a focus on building operations.
• Additional management experience with direct reports.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods, walk or stand, and lift up to 50lbs.
• Advanced keyboard usage and occasional travel.

Base Pay Range

Annual salary range estimated at $112,700 - $145,400, dependent on experience and qualifications.
