Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Assistant General Manager to join the Holiday Inn and Suites Gateway team. This key role involves overseeing all hotel operations, supporting the General Manager, and ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction. As an Assistant General Manager, you will collaborate with department heads, maintain high standards for the property, and handle various responsibilities to uphold the hotel's reputation and brand positioning.

Responsibilities

  • Support the General Manager in day-to-day operations and task delegation.
  • Train staff, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to hotel policies.
  • Act as the public relations director, engaging with industry stakeholders and the local community.
  • Resolve guest complaints, select hotel staff, and maintain accurate records.
  • Conduct property inspections, monitor maintenance, and uphold service standards.
  • Provide leadership, effective communication, and participate in business planning.

Requirements

  • Degree in hotel management or related field with extensive hospitality experience.
  • Proven track record in hotel management, financial accounting, and personnel supervision.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Availability for flexible work hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and software programs.
  • Excellent language skills and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Physical Demands and Environment

This role requires physical stamina, including standing, walking, lifting, and occasional stressful situations. The ability to work indoors in varying environmental conditions is essential.
