Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Store Manager to join the vibrant team at Aldi. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a crucial role in supervising store activities, enhancing overall store performance, managing schedules, and identifying opportunities for team development.
Position Type:
Full-Time
Average Hours: 38 hours per week
Starting Wage: $25.00 per hour
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results.
- Communicate job responsibilities and expectations to the team for mutual understanding and results.
- Identify training opportunities for team growth and performance enhancement.
- Monitor the competitive environment and recommend adjustments to maintain competitiveness.
- Participate in the interviewing process for new store personnel.
- Ensure adherence to inventory procedures, product handling, and cash control policies.
- Maintain store cleanliness, proper stock levels, and quality product display.
- Supervise day-to-day operations of the team and escalate issues as needed.
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
Physical Demands:
- Stock merchandise and move products weighing up to 45 pounds.
- Perform various physical tasks within the store environment.
Job Qualifications:
- 18 years or older to work at Aldi.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma preferred.
- Minimum 3 years retail experience.
- Prior management experience is a plus.
