Job Description
We are looking for a motivated Assistant Store Manager to join the Aldi team. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a pivotal role in store management, overseeing day-to-day activities, optimizing store performance, managing schedules, and fostering team development.
Position Details:
- Position Type: Full-Time
- Average Hours: 38 hours per week
- Starting Wage: $25.50 per hour
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement action plans to enhance operational efficiency
- Establish job responsibilities and communicate performance expectations
- Identify training opportunities for team growth
- Ensure adherence to company values and foster teamwork
- Monitor competition and suggest adjustments for maintaining competitiveness
- Participate in product selection and interview processes
- Maintain inventory procedures and minimize losses
- Resolve operational customer concerns
- Maintain store cleanliness and stocking standards
- Optimize product presentation for increased sales
- Supervise team operations and escalate issues when needed
- Ensure highest level of customer service and compliance with company policies
Job Qualifications:
- 18 years or older
- Excellent customer service and leadership skills
- Ability to interpret company policies and drive performance
- Operational and managerial competencies
- Cash register and equipment operation abilities
- Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
- State and local requirements for alcohol handling
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of retail experience, including management preferred
- Combination of education and experience
- Prior management experience preferred
