Assistant Retail Supervisor

Job Description

We are looking for a proactive Assistant Retail Supervisor to join our team at Aldi. In this role, you will assist in managing day-to-day store activities, ensuring store performance, developing action plans, and identifying training opportunities to support team growth. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with store leadership to maintain operational excellence and enhance customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement action plans to improve store operations
• Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to team members
• Identify training opportunities to enhance team performance
• Monitor the competitive environment and provide feedback on products
• Participate in the interviewing process for store personnel
• Ensure inventory procedures and cash control policies are followed
• Maintain store cleanliness and proper stock levels
• Supervise day-to-day operations and escalate issues when needed
• Ensure exceptional customer service and uphold company policies
• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift and stock merchandise weighing up to 45 pounds
• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift
• Operate equipment and perform general cleaning duties

Job Qualifications:

• 18 years of age or older
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Provide courteous customer service and lead by example
• Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask efficiently
• Prior retail management experience preferred

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of 3 years retail experience
• Prior management experience preferred
