Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Associate Actuary to join our team at USAA. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting P&C Personal Lines by ensuring an accurate revenue forecast aligning with our overall strategy. Collaborating closely with Product Management leadership and business partners, you will gather assumptions, develop scenario estimates, and present the final revenue forecast. Additionally, you will conduct advanced actuarial analyses to support product development, pricing, and financial strength determinations.
Responsibilities
- Establish statistical plans and tools for analyzing product experiences.
- Aid in setting pricing objectives and strategies aligned with company goals.
- Utilize actuarial models for pricing, valuation, and risk management.
- Stay updated on market trends and innovative alternatives for achieving financial goals.
- Provide creative solutions and innovative approaches to business challenges.
- Represent company interests in industry committee meetings.
- Ensure effective risk management in accordance with policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Actuarial/analytical field.
- 4 years of Actuarial/business/analytical experience + ACAS certification.
- Experience in developing innovative actuarial analyses and metric monitoring.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in P&C insurance industry.
- Expertise in reporting, scenario building, and forecasting premiums.
- Detail-oriented and process-focused individual.
- Possess US military experience.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation for this position ranges from $120,550 to $230,400 per year, depending on experience and market data.
