Rudman Winchell, a well-established general practice law firm, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Civil Litigator Attorney to join our thriving legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in civil litigation, exceptional communication abilities, and a strong commitment to delivering top-tier legal services to our clientele.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in civil litigation proceedings, including drafting legal documents and presenting cases in court.
- Conduct thorough legal research to develop effective case strategies.
- Manage all aspects of the litigation process, such as discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
- Negotiate settlements and represent clients in mediation and arbitration sessions.
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure efficient case handling.
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry developments.
- Provide exceptional client service by maintaining regular communication and offering updates on case progress.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Maine.
- Proven experience in civil litigation.
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capacity to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to upholding ethical standards and client confidentiality.
- Willingness to travel locally and statewide for client-related legal matters.
- Availability to work beyond standard hours when necessary.
