Job Description
We are looking for a motivated Banquet Captain to join our team at El Monte Sagrado. As a Banquet Captain, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests have a memorable banquet experience. This full-time hourly position offers a starting wage of $19.00 with benefits and is based in Taos, NM at our El Monte Sagrado Hotel & Spa.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and positive interactions with employees, coworkers, and guests.
- Ensure proper service flow and staffing levels during shifts.
- Oversee banquet front of house activities and expedite customer orders according to company standards.
- Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Focus on enhancing the guest experience and resolving issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Adhere to food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation regulations to guarantee the well-being of guests and staff.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Hospitality degree or relevant experience preferred.
- 2 years of food & beverage supervision experience; luxury hospitality background advantageous.
- Valid New Mexico Food Handler and Alcohol Server Certifications.
- Proficiency with Restaurant Point of Sale systems.
- Capability to lift, push, carry, and reach items weighing 30+ pounds frequently.
