Biomedical Equipment Technician (on-site)

Job Description

KARNA is looking for a skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician to join our team at The Navy Expeditionary Medical Support Command (NEMSCOM) in Williamsburg, VA. In this role, you will be responsible for applying advanced technical knowledge to maintain and repair biomedical and scientific equipment, ensuring proper functionality and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced technical knowledge to solve problems related to biomedical and scientific equipment.
• Identify damage to biomedical equipment and medical instruments through visual inspection.
• Inspect, test, and repair biomedical and scientific equipment.
• Manage medical items received for maintenance, repairs, and calibration.
• Reconstitute medical repair kits, surgical trays, and medical assemblages.

Qualifications

• A.S. in Biomedical or Electronics Technology, or equivalent military experience.
• Minimum one year of hands-on clinical equipment maintenance experience.
• Training and certification in inspecting, testing, and repairing life-saving support equipment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and microprocessor equipment.
• Ability to pass background investigation and acquire a CAC Card.
• US Citizen.
