Cardiovascular ICU Nurse

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Cardiovascular ICU Nurse to join ThedaCare's passionate team in Appleton, Wisconsin. You will provide exceptional patient-centered care in a fast-paced, 16-bed medical/surgical/cardiac Intensive Care Unit, focusing on holistic nursing for patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Work day & night shifts on 12-hour rotations, including every 3rd weekend (Fri-Sun) and rotating holidays.
• Deliver specialized nursing care through an interprofessional approach, ensuring compassionate and safe practices.
• Promote a culture of innovation, growth, and professional development within the organization.

Qualifications

• Current Wisconsin RN Licensure.
• Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associates Degree in Nursing with a commitment to obtain BSN within five years.
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS certifications.
• CCRN and CSC certifications preferred.
• Prior CVICU experience, including Open Heart, IABP, Impella, and PA catheter.

Physical Demands

• Ability to move freely and lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Exposure to blood borne pathogens while performing duties.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for patient care procedures.
