Job Description
Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health is looking for a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) to join our team in Frederick, MD. As a CPRS, you will provide peer support services to individuals with substance use disorders, promoting recovery and preventing disengagement from treatment.
Responsibilities
- Establish authentic peer-to-peer relationships with patients, providing recovery education and support.
- Facilitate peer support groups and help patients develop self-directed recovery plans.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure patient experiences are respected and understood.
- Connect patients with community resources and provide ongoing support.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of work experience in a related field.
- Respect for diverse paths to recovery and knowledge of drug and alcohol treatment systems.
- 3 years of continuous abstinence required.
