Client Intake and Triage Specialist

Job Description

Join the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV) as a Client Intake and Triage Specialist. In this critical role, you will be the first point of contact for Veterans in housing crisis, assessing their eligibility for MACV services and referring them to appropriate resources. Your contribution will directly impact ending Veteran homelessness in Minnesota.

Responsibilities

• Screen and assess Veteran eligibility for MACV services via phone, email, walk-ins, and community referrals.
• Manage and forward eligible referrals for case manager assignments.
• Record phone interactions in shared databases for efficient assistance tracking.
• Ensure client confidentiality and compliance with established procedures.
• Collaborate with community partners and acquire necessary documentation for referral assistance.
• Provide administrative support and assist in financial and operational processes as needed.

• Strong communication abilities for direct client interaction and coordination with community providers.
• Effective problem-solving skills for crisis resolution in tight timelines.
• Experience in managing information in database systems.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of working with unsheltered individuals, chemical dependence, or mental health issues.
• Familiarity with MACV programs and local community resources.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Preferably a Veteran or background in veteran-related issues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and client tracking systems.
• Valid Driver's License.

Compensation

Salary Range: $43,000 - $48,000 per year.
