Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Clinician to join Wisconsin Community Services at Bakari Center. As a Clinician, you will provide individual therapy and lead group therapy sessions utilizing the Integrated Treatment Model with a focus on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for youth at our residential facilities. You will collaborate with the Youth Treatment Specialist team to ensure comprehensive service coordination and deliver high-quality care.
Responsibilities
- Interview, assess, and screen youth for services at Bakari Center and Youth Crisis Stabilization Facility.
- Implement and facilitate DBT sessions for male youth aged 13-17 at the residential treatment center.
- Lead value-added groups covering various topics like healthy relationships, substance use, and life skills.
- Provide individual therapy sessions using DBT approaches, focusing on skill development and positive reinforcement.
- Conduct risk assessments, coordinate with external services, and engage in family support initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold a positive culture for both youth and staff.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in social work, psychology, or related field.
- Minimum of two years of experience working with children or families in challenging circumstances.
- Ability to demonstrate cultural competence and work effectively with diverse populations.
- Proficiency in computer applications and a valid driver's license.
- Strong knowledge of positive youth development and crisis intervention.
Additional Information
As a Clinician at Bakari Center, you will report to the Social Work Supervisor and collaborate with various stakeholders including youth, families, and community partners. This role involves rotational on-call duties and managing youths with trauma-related behaviors. Physical demands include active engagement with program participants and crisis intervention as needed.
