Construction Cost Project Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Construction Cost Project Analyst to join our National Real Estate Services team at Aldi. In this role, you will be responsible for managing construction costs on a national level and collaborating with divisional real estate teams to evaluate construction bids. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of construction documents and possess an educational background in construction, architecture, or engineering. Your focus will be on ensuring that construction costs align with project scopes and regional cost trends.

Responsibilities

• Work with Construction Managers to develop negotiation points with contractors.
• Collaborate with divisional teams to determine appropriate scopes and pricing structures.
• Provide pricing data to divisions for consistency.
• Prepare detailed bid analysis for project awards.
• Report pricing data to the National Real Estate Project Manager quarterly.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities in construction documents and proposals.
• Research alternative materials and methods for more economical practices.
• Assist in training and developing team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Construction Estimating.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, RS Means software, and construction cost indices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
