Job Description
SJS Executives LLC, a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business specializing in professional services for federal and military organizations, is seeking a Construction Quality Control Manager/Construction Engineering Technician to work at a US Naval Facility in Yorktown, VA. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in commercial construction quality management, safety, and coordination, specifically within Navy public works departments.
Responsibilities
- Provide overall coordination of construction quality management programs.
- Review and approve contractor-submitted quality control plans.
- Monitor and ensure accuracy of Government Quality Assurance (QA) reports.
- Coordinate testing and commissioning of critical systems.
- Ensure quality workmanship and compliance with specifications.
- Coordinate safety evaluations and compliance on-site.
- Review and approve all Government technical and administrative submittals.
- Support closeout process and review contractor invoices for accuracy.
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience as a Quality Control Manager for General Contractors on NAVFAC or US Army Corps of Engineers projects, OR 10+ years foreman experience in trades like Concrete, Mechanical, Electrical, Masonry, or Carpentry.
- Certificate of Completion for US Army Corps of Engineers 'Construction Quality Management for Contractors' course.
- Familiarity with crane safety requirements and NAVFAC P-307 specification.
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check for military installation access.
Benefits
- Yearly Salary: $59,000-$63,000
