Job Description

We are seeking a Cook to join our team at Holiday Inn and Suites Gateway. As a Cook, you will work closely with the Chef to prepare meals, manage ingredients, cook dishes, and maintain kitchen cleanliness. You will be responsible for ensuring that food quality, portion control, and kitchen standards are met consistently. Additionally, you will assist with banquet functions and collaborate with the Food and Beverage Manager to enhance guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals in collaboration with the Chef.
• Maintain food quality, portion control, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Assist with banquet functions and special events.
• Collaborate with the Food and Beverage Manager to ensure high sanitation standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; at least 3 years of hospitality experience preferred.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively.

Physical Demands

The Cook position requires standing, walking, lifting, and other physical activities. Candidates must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and perform various tasks in the kitchen environment.
