Job Description
We are looking for a Customer Service and Stock Specialist to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service, managing stock levels, cashiering, and maintaining the store's appearance. This full-time position offers an average of 32-40 hours per week and a starting wage of $18.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
- Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize product displays
- Deliver outstanding customer service and assist shoppers during their visit
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively
- Provide feedback on products, inventory, and any issues to the store management
- Participate in inventory counts and maintain accuracy
- Adhere to cash handling policies and minimize losses
- Follow company procedures while ensuring document and data security
- Perform other assigned duties as necessary
Qualifications
- Minimum age of 18
- Proficient in providing prompt and courteous customer service
- Efficient operation of a cash register
- Competent in using equipment like hand jack, floor scrubber, and cardboard baler
- Ability to follow cleaning standards and company policies
- Excellent communication skills
- Capable of working independently and in a team setting
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask professionally
- Meet local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages if applicable
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous retail experience is a plus
