Data Center Operations Technician I

Job Description

The Data Center Operations Technician I position at Flexential is an integral role providing physical and Level II technical support to customers and resources. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Facilities infrastructure, Windows operating systems, and PC troubleshooting. Responsibilities include resolving Facility and customer issues, documenting technical problems, and adhering to company policies and procedures. This is a 24x7x365 position requiring flexibility in working shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide timely resolution and escalation of issues.
• Maintain professionalism in all data center duties.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and document using the ticketing system.
• Support 24/7 operations and perform remote hands work.
• Assist with installations and maintain Data Center cleanliness.
• Operate Badge Access Security System and manage inventory levels.
• Collaborate with Critical Infrastructure Manager and local management as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Passion for excellent customer experience.
• Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Operating systems.
• Self-starter with strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in IT support environment preferred.
• Relevant certifications like Network+, Security+, CCNA, MCP, or MCSA are desired.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work aloft, in cold environments, and lift heavy objects.
• Capacity to handle cabling installation and work with pallet jacks.
