Data Center Operations Technician I

Job Description

The Data Center Operations Technician I position at Flexential is a critical role responsible for providing physical and Level II technical support to customers and resources. The role requires a strong understanding of Facilities infrastructure, Windows operating systems, PC troubleshooting, and management applications. The ideal candidate must exhibit professionalism and technical expertise when interacting with customers and internal resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide timely resolution and escalation of Facility and customer issues.
• Maintain a professional attitude and conduct during data center duties.
• Troubleshoot and document technical issues using the Flexential ticketing system.
• Support and follow Flexential policies and procedures.
• Assist with physical and logical installations of services.
• Ensure cleanliness and security of the Data Center.
• Perform Facilities Rounds and handle shipping/receiving tasks.
• Manage Badge Access Security System and assist Critical Infrastructure Manager as needed.

Qualifications

• Passion for excellent customer service.
• Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Operating systems.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and commitment to deadlines.
• Previous experience in an IT Support environment preferred.
• Certifications such as Network +, Security +, CCNA, or Microsoft MCP/MCSA a plus.
• Physical requirements include climbing, working in cold environments, lifting objects, and cabling installations.

Salary Range: $18.41 - $20.00 per hour
