Job Description

The Data Center Operations Technician I role at Flexential is a critical 24x7x365 position dedicated to providing physical and Level II technical support to both customers and internal resources. This position requires a deep understanding of Facilities infrastructure, Windows operating systems, PC troubleshooting, and management applications. Successful candidates must represent Flexential with professionalism and technical expertise during customer interactions in a calm and composed manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Timely resolution and escalation of Facility and customer issues.
• Maintain professional conduct and attitude while performing data center duties.
• Troubleshoot and document technical issues using Flexential's ticketing system.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Provide local access and escort for vendors and carriers.
• Perform remote hands work for internal and external customers.
• Support 24/7 operations and work any shift in a 24x7x365 environment.
• Assist in physical and logical installations of Flexential services.
• Ensure Data Center cleanliness and conduct Facilities Rounds.
• Manage inbound and outbound shipping/receiving for customers and Flexential Deliveries.
• Operate and manage the Badge Access Security System.
• Assist the Critical Infrastructure Manager as necessary.
• Maintain cabling and inventory levels with local management.
• Perform other assigned duties as required.

Qualifications

• Passion for providing excellent customer experiences.
• Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Operating systems.
• Self-starter, motivated, with strong communication skills.
• Attention to detail, commitment, and meeting deadlines.
• Ideal to have 1 year IT Support experience.
• AA, BS, or High School Diploma required.
• Network +, Security +, CCNA, Microsoft MCP, or MCSA desired.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to climb ladders, work aloft, work in cold environments, maneuver pallet jacks, lift heavy objects, and install cabling.

Base Pay Range: $19.33 - $22.67
