Data Center Operations Technician I at Flexential
The Data Center Operations Technician I role at Flexential is a critical 24x7x365 position responsible for delivering physical and Level II technical support to customers and resources. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of Facilities infrastructure, Windows operating systems, PC troubleshooting, and management applications. Successful candidates must showcase professionalism and technical expertise in all interactions with customers and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Provide timely resolution and/or escalation of Facility and customer issues.
- Maintain a professional attitude and conduct while performing data center duties.
- Troubleshoot technical issues using Flexential's ticketing system.
- Follow Flexential Support and Data Center policies, processes, and procedures.
- Assist with physical and logical installations of Flexential services.
- Maintain Data Center cleanliness and support Facilities Rounds.
- Operate and manage the Badge Access Security System.
- Collaborate with the Critical Infrastructure Manager (CIM) as needed.
- Work on maintaining cabling and inventory levels with local management.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Understanding of Windows and Microsoft Operating systems.
- Self-starter with a high level of motivation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail, commitment, and meeting deadlines.
- Preferably 1 year of experience in an IT Support environment.
- Network +, Security +, or CCNA certification desired.
- Microsoft MCP or MCSA certification preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
- Work in cold temperature environments.
- Operate pallet jacks and lift heavy objects.
- Install cabling and perform physical tasks.
