Job Description
We are currently seeking a talented Deck Engineer to join our Hornblower Wind - CTV operation at Hornblower - City Experiences. As a Deck Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting vessel operations through the maintenance of machinery and equipment. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, preventative maintenance on various machinery, underwater maintenance and repairs, electrical troubleshooting, and assistance with deck operations under the direction of the vessel captain.
Responsibilities
- Work in a safe manner under the guidance of the vessel captain to perform assigned tasks.
- Perform preventative maintenance on diesel engines and other machinery.
- Assist with heavy machinery maintenance and repair work.
- Undertake underwater machinery maintenance and repair tasks.
- Conduct vessel plumbing maintenance and repairs.
- Troubleshoot and maintain vessel electrical systems.
- Assist with dry dock repairs and other vessel maintenance tasks.
- Participate in daily vessel responsibilities and operational tasks.
- Adhere to a rotational schedule requiring living onboard the vessel.
- Perform any other duties as necessary.
Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- USCG MMC with ABS endorsement.
- Prior experience in marine engineering, preferably in work boat fields.
- Strong background in machinery maintenance and repair.
- Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions closely.
Salary
$350/day
