Diesel Mechanic (Heavy Truck)

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic (Heavy Truck) to join River States Truck And Trailer. As a diesel technician, you will be responsible for accurately diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing malfunctions on Class 6-8 vehicles, demonstrating competency and independence in your work.

Responsibilities

• Accurately diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle malfunctions using proper tools.
• Deliver quality repairs and maintain a neat work area.
• Resolve customer concerns by identifying problems and providing solutions.
• Participate in training to stay updated with new technology.
• Adhere to company safety policies and collaborate in a team environment.
• Be adaptable and have a positive attitude towards a variety of repairs.

Requirements

• Minimum 5-7 years experience as a diesel technician on Class 6-8 vehicles.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to pass background and drug screening.
• High school diploma or equivalent, with necessary tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work the 2nd shift.
• Preferred: Class A CDL, technical degree, certifications (A/C, Brake, DOT), specialization in specific areas.
