Job Description
We are looking for passionate individuals to join our team as Diesel or Automotive Mechanics for the Freeport and Hempstead Schools. As part of the First Student family, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our school bus fleet.

Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair school buses to ensure safety and compliance.
- Assist in preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and repair work.
- Provide guidance to junior technicians and ensure work orders are accurately completed.
- Participate in mobile emergency services when needed.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with willingness to obtain CDL during employment.
- 1-5 years of automotive or diesel maintenance experience, or technical school education.
- Mechanic's tool set and willingness to participate in ASE certification program.
- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical requirements.
