Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Diesel or Automotive Mechanic to join our team at First Student, the leading school transportation provider in North America. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing school buses, ensuring vehicle safety, and guiding other technicians. Responsibilities
- Assist with preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and annual DOT maintenance inspections.
- Diagnose and repair vehicle components such as brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions.
- Ensure accurate completion of work orders and provide emergency services when needed.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license required; willingness to obtain CDL while employed.
- 1-5 years of automotive or diesel maintenance experience or technical school education.
- Mechanic's tool set and participation in the ASE certification program.
- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical requirements.
