Job Description
Join the largest school transportation provider in North America, First Student, as a Diesel Technician at our Fredonia and Dunkirk locations. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will work on maintaining and repairing various school buses to ensure safety and vehicle readiness. Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and DOT maintenance checks on school buses.
- Diagnose and repair vehicle components such as brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions.
- Provide guidance to lower-level technicians and ensure accurate completion of work orders.
- Assist with mobile emergency services as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license; willing to obtain CDL while employed.
- 3+ years of automotive or diesel maintenance experience or technical school education.
- Mechanic's tool set and willingness to participate in ASE certification.
- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical requirements.
