Director, Life Claims and Investigations - Life Insurance Claims - Sensitive Profile

Job Description

We are currently looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to join USAA as a Director of Life Claims and Investigations. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing exceptional support to members who have experienced the loss of a loved one by managing Life, Annuity & Health claims and overseeing fraud investigation programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to staff on procedures and guidelines.
• Oversee decisions within the claims and benefits process.
• Direct and ensure business performance in the claims investigation team.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for claims security and fraud investigations.
• Establish and maintain positive internal and external relationships.
• Lead hiring, employee development, and performance evaluation processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or 12 years of total experience in relevant fields.
• 8 years of business experience with 3 years in Claims and/or Insurance Fraud.
• 3 years of direct team lead or management experience.
• Preferred: US military experience, deep operational knowledge in Life Insurance and/or annuity claims.
