Job Description
As the Director of Finance at AREA HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE COUNTY OF VENTURA, you will play a critical role in leading, planning, and directing all financial activities. This position entails overseeing financial accounting, reporting, budgeting, and asset management for the organization and its affiliates.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert financial planning and analysis to maintain the integrity of financial statements.
- Direct and manage financial services including budgeting, auditing, and tax filing.
- Analyze real estate transactions and partnership agreements to make sound financial recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and maintain effective internal controls.
- Collaborate with senior management on strategic planning and operational decisions.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years experience with financial analysis and management.
- Proficiency in accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Strong knowledge of computerized accounting systems and software, with YARDI experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively with various stakeholders.
Working Environment
- Monday-Thursday schedule with occasional weekend/holiday work.
- Fast-paced office environment with potential for frequent interruptions.
