Director of Finance

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Director of Finance to join our team at Chaminade Resort & Spa in Santa Cruz, California. As a key member of our leadership team, you will oversee all financial aspects of our hotel operations, ensuring financial objectives are met while maintaining high standards of quality and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage cash flow and communicate financial issues to management.
• Coordinate and complete forecasts and budgets with the executive team.
• Analyze financial data to advise management on maintaining financial objectives.
• Develop financial strategies, policies, and procedures to control financial resources.
• Establish and audit internal financial controls to maintain financial integrity.
• Prepare financial reports and provide insights on revenue generation and cost control.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
• Maintain relationships with external stakeholders and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of finance or accounting experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance; MBA preferred.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Proven track record in financial leadership and decision-making.
• Knowledge of financial principles, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
