Director Toxicology

Job Description

We are looking for a highly qualified Director Toxicology to join Jazz Pharmaceuticals, a global biopharmaceutical company dedicated to developing life-changing medicines for patients worldwide. As the Director, Toxicology, you will lead and support toxicology studies, manage nonclinical regulatory strategies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the success of Jazz programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support, and manage direct reports in toxicology studies and regulatory compliance.
• Design, monitor, and interpret toxicology studies at external CROs.
• Represent Toxicology in cross-functional teams to support drug development programs.
• Contribute to regulatory submissions and responses to health authorities.
• Provide subject matter expertise and collaborate with internal and external functions.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Toxicology, Pharmacology, or related fields with pharmaceutical industry experience.
• 8-10 years of experience in drug development toxicology with knowledge of FDA, EMA, and ICH regulations.
• Experience in authoring non-clinical elements of regulatory submissions.
• Strong scientific writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Compensation

Jazz Pharmaceuticals offers a competitive base salary range of $192,000-$288,000 along with annual cash bonuses, equity grants, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance, and 401k retirement savings plan.
