Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Early Learning Teacher Aide to join our team at Think Together. As an Early Learning Teacher Aide, you will work under the guidance of the Early Learning Master Teacher to assist in planning and implementing various activities to support the educational development of preschool-aged children. Your role will involve supervising children, participating in group activities, maintaining a positive learning environment, and supporting the overall needs of the program.
Responsibilities
- Supervise children in various activities both in and outside the classroom.
- Assist in planning and implementing activities that cater to the needs of preschool-aged children.
- Support group activities with students as assigned.
- Maintain a positive and diverse environment that fosters learning and respect.
- Help children participate in activities and assist in developing their skills.
- Observe and guide student behavior following established procedures.
- Assist with setting up/cleaning up work and eating areas.
- Operate audio-visual equipment to enhance learning experiences.
- Support children with personal care needs.
- Prepare instructional materials as directed.
- Assist students in language development.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and positive learning environment.
- Communicate material needs to supervisors.
- Participate in meetings and training programs.
- Perform other related tasks as required.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Completion of 6 units in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.
- Prior experience working with preschool-aged children is desirable.
- Current Assistant Teachers Permit or eligibility to obtain one.
- Ability to pass background checks and necessary clearances.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Applications and standard office equipment.
- California Driver's License, daily automobile use, and insurance.
