Electrical and Software Engineering Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a talented Manager of Electrical and Software Engineering to lead our innovative team at WesternScott Fetzer. In this role, you will oversee the development of cutting-edge designs for a range of products in diverse industries, including medical devices and high precision measurement tools. Your responsibilities will include managing projects throughout the product lifecycle, from concept to commercialization, and driving continuous improvement in product designs. You will collaborate with customers and suppliers to ensure the success of projects and support legacy products through sustaining engineering activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Electrical and Software Engineering team to deliver high-quality designs that meet customer requirements.
• Manage product development projects from concept to commercialization, following the defined stage gate process.
• Identify user needs, develop product specifications, and oversee verification and validation activities.
• Implement design improvements and provide support for legacy products through sustaining engineering.
• Collaborate with customers and suppliers to address product and project issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Extensive experience in design, prototyping, and validation of analog and digital circuits.
• Proficiency with software and firmware development on various platforms.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as C, C++, Python, and Java.
• Experience with Intrinsic safety design and wireless technologies is a plus.
