Electrical Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a talented Electrical Engineer to join our team at Novelis in Fairmont, West Virginia. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, quality, and efficiency of our plant operations. Your responsibilities will include maintaining and upgrading equipment, focusing on industrial equipment, automation, controls, and utilities. You will need excellent electrical skills, proficiency in communication, troubleshooting abilities, and proficiency in software applications such as Microsoft Office and AutoCAD. A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 3 years of experience in an industrial setting are required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Excellent Electrical abilities - PLC programming, VFD, Motors, Breakers, and switchgear.
• Superior oral and written communication skills.
• Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis.
• Proficiency in computer skills and software applications.
• Organize and prioritize workload effectively.
• Demonstrate high initiative, self-motivation, and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
• Leadership skills to direct and develop other personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in an industrial setting.
• Exposure to maintenance procedures and equipment reliability preferred.
• Knowledge of equipment used in the metals industry is beneficial.
• 5+ years in the metals industry.
