Job Description
We are looking for an Engineer II specializing in Geodesy Instrumentation to join the EarthScope Consortium team. As an Engineer II, you will be responsible for managing and implementing various field projects involving geophysical instruments and networks, providing technical support and collaborating with team members and other departments within the organization. You will work on evaluating instrument designs, drafting technical reports, maintaining project documentation, and contributing to the development of new technologies in the field. This role requires field operations and travel both domestically and internationally, with up to 30% travel time.
Responsibilities
- Implement individual geophysical projects and assist with multiple projects.
- Identify and solve technical issues related to geophysical instruments.
- Participate in testing and evaluation of new systems.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting of project activities.
- Collaborate with other departments on joint projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or geosciences.
- 3 years of experience with geophysical sensors or networks (Bachelor's) or 1 year of field experience (Master's).
- Proficiency with data quality analysis software is a plus.

- Availability for field operations and travel.
- Valid driver's license and passport for international projects.
- Ability to meet physical qualifications for extreme environments.
