Job Description
We are looking for an Experienced Project Engineer to join our Special Projects Group at University Mechanical Contractors, Inc (UMC). In this role, you will provide project management support, including bid process assistance, cost tracking, document control, and collaboration with various teams to ensure project quality and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Assist in bid process and procurement of new work.
- Estimate and negotiate change orders.
- Track, forecast, and report labor hours and material costs.
- Collaborate with field labor supervision and subcontractors.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience as a Project Engineer.
- Degree in Construction Management, Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills.
- Ability to understand and communicate mechanical concepts.
