Job Description
We are looking for an Experienced REGISTERED NURSE (RN) to join our Brain Health Unit at Levindale Hospital under LifeBridge Health. As a Staff Nurse on our Brain Health Unit, you will provide safe and age-appropriate patient care while functioning as an advisor and resource for patients and their families. Your responsibilities will include conducting initial and ongoing assessments, developing personalized care plans, administering care and education, and evaluating outcomes of nursing practice.
Unit Summary
The Brain Health Unit at Levindale is a specialty hospital offering post-acute services to older patients with neurocognitive disorders and medical co-morbidities. With a focus on patient engagement, support, and treatment, our unit provides a safe environment for a maximum of 60 patients. The nurse patient ratio is 1:8-10 for nurses and 1:10 for geriatric nursing assistants, ensuring personalized care and attention.
Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent formal education.
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience.
- American Heart Association BLS CPR Card and Maryland RN License.
- Proficiency in medical software and terminology.
- Strong critical thinking and nursing process skills.
