Job Description
We are looking for an experienced REGISTERED NURSE (RN) to join our Brain Health Unit team at Levindale Hospital in Baltimore, MD. This full-time position with a weekend commitment offers a day shift from 7:00am-7:30pm.
Summary
The Brain Health Unit focuses on providing specialized care for older patients with neurocognitive disorders and medical co-morbidities. As a Staff Nurse, you will work with a multidisciplinary team to assess, manage medication, and create sustainable care plans to enhance patients' quality of life during their 20-25 days stay. The nurse-patient ratio allows for personalized care and attention.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe and age-appropriate patient care.
- Act as a resource and advisor for patients and families.
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families on care plans.
- Evaluate and document outcomes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a licensed RN.
- Maryland Registered Nurse License.
- American Heart Association BLS CPR Card.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and nursing processes.
