Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Brain Health Unit at Levindale Hospital, located in Baltimore, MD. As a Staff Nurse in the Brain Health Unit, you will work full-time with a weekend commitment on day shift (7:00am-7:30pm). The Brain Health Unit focuses on providing care for older patients with neurocognitive disorders and medical co-morbidities, offering a safe and supportive environment for patient treatment.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe and age-appropriate patient care.
- Function as an advisor and resource for patients and their families.
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments, develop care plans, and implement patient care and education.
- Evaluate and document nursing practice outcomes.
Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent formal working knowledge.
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a licensed RN.
- American Heart Association BLS CPR Card.
- Maryland Registered Nurse License.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, basic computer skills, and medical terminology.
- Strong nursing process and critical thinking skills.
