Job Description
We are looking for an experienced REGISTERED NURSE (RN) to join our team in the Brain Health Unit at Levindale Health. As a Staff Nurse, you will provide safe and age-appropriate patient care, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to support patients with neurocognitive disorders. This full-time position includes a weekend commitment on day shifts from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm.
Unit Summary
The Brain Health Unit at Levindale is dedicated to older patients with neurocognitive disorders. As a nurse on this unit, you will have the opportunity to engage, support, and provide specialized care to patients during their 20-25 day stay. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:8-10 for nurses and 1:10 for geriatric nursing assistants, ensuring personalized care and attention.
Requirements
- Formal working knowledge equivalent to an Associate's degree
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a licensed RN
- American Heart Association BLS CPR Card
- Maryland Registered Nurse License
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and medical terminology
- Critical thinking and nursing process skills
