Facilities and Grounds Technician III

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Facilities and Grounds Technician III to join Warm Beach Christian Camps. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the maintenance and grounds-keeping activities of Black Diamond Camp and Rainier Camp & Retreat Center. Responsibilities include overseeing new construction, building maintenance, grounds care, and general facilities management. You will be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues, supervise volunteers, and ensure adherence to safety protocols.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Implement Warm Beach Camp Ministries' safety policies and procedures.
• Plan and oversee general maintenance priorities of the camps.
• Maintain healthy lawns, landscaped areas, and camp irrigation systems.
• Supervise and train volunteers, operate heavy equipment, and provide feedback on camp facilities.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree with 5-8 years of building maintenance or grounds-keeping experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, blueprints, and procedure manuals.
• Knowledge of basic math, geometry, and financial accounting principles.
• Strong reasoning ability to solve problems in various situations.

Physical Demands

Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds, stand for extended periods, operate power equipment, and have good vision and balance skills.

Work Environment

Exposure to moving parts, weather conditions, and loud noise; use of safety equipment is required.

Certificates and Licenses

Driver's License, Electrical License, HVAC Certification, and Arborist Certification are desirable.

Classification

This is a full-time, year-round position with on-call and weekend duties as needed.
