Job Description

Connecticut Institute for Communities, Inc. (CIFC) Health is seeking Front Desk Patient Registrars to join our dedicated team in the Behavioral Health department. Patient Registrars play a key role in providing exceptional customer service, handling patient inquiries, and assisting in the administrative processes of patient registration and scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients in a warm and friendly manner to ensure a positive experience.
  • Answer incoming calls, take messages, and forward calls as necessary.
  • Schedule appointments accurately and efficiently, including follow-ups and referrals.
  • Collect payments from patients following payer guidelines and maintain accurate records.
  • Input and update patient information in the database with precision and confidentiality.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with previous medical office experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer usage, including electronic medical records systems.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.
  • Up-to-date health certification, including documentation of no communicable diseases.
