Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Full-Time Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Aldi. As the Assistant Store Manager, you will play a crucial role in supervising day-to-day store activities, ensuring overall store performance, managing schedules, and developing operational action plans. You will also identify training opportunities to grow and develop the team, contributing to the success of the store.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and implementing action plans to enhance operating results.
  • Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports.
  • Identify training opportunities to improve team performance.
  • Understand company strategy and core values to promote teamwork.
  • Monitor the competitive environment and propose necessary adjustments for competitiveness.
  • Provide product feedback and make recommendations.
  • Participate in the interviewing process for new store personnel.
  • Ensure adherence to inventory procedures and product handling guidelines.
  • Resolve operational customer concerns in the absence of the direct leader.
  • Maintain store cleanliness, proper stock levels, and product freshness.
  • Supervise day-to-day operations, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Uphold company policies and procedures while ensuring document security and confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

Ability to stock merchandise, lift up to 45 pounds, sit, stand, bend, and move around the store. Must perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations.

Job Qualifications:

Requirements include being 18 years or older, ability to work independently and in a team environment, excellent customer service skills, understanding of company policies, and operational management abilities.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, minimum 3 years of retail experience, prior management experience is advantageous.
