Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Full-Time Store Associate to join our team at Aldi. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our store maintains a clean, organized, and customer-friendly environment. As a Store Associate, you will merchandise and stock products, operate the cash register, and deliver exceptional customer service.
Position Type: Full-Time
Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
Starting Wage: $16.50 per hour
Duties and Responsibilities
- Consistently demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
- Stock shelves and maintain neat merchandise displays
- Provide excellent customer service to enhance the shopping experience
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management
- Offer feedback on products, inventory, and any issues
- Participate in store inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy
- Follow cash policies and uphold company procedures
- Adhere to company policies to maintain security and confidentiality
- Perform other assigned duties
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to provide courteous customer service
- Efficient operation of cash register
- Handle equipment safely and properly
- Maintain cleanliness to company standards
- Excellent communication skills
- Work independently and in a team environment
- Stay organized, detail-oriented, and follow instructions
- Meet state and local requirements for handling alcoholic beverages
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous retail work experience is a plus
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
