Job Description
We are looking for a Full-Time Store Associate (Entry Level) to join our team at Aldi. In this role, you will be responsible for various in-store activities including merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and ensuring a clean and inviting store environment. By collaborating with the Aldi team, you will play a crucial part in providing exceptional customer service and enhancing the overall shopping experience.
Position Details
- Position Type: Full-Time
- Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
- Starting Wage: $17.00 per hour
Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the ALDI Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
- Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management
- Offer feedback on products, inventory, and store operations
- Participate in inventory counts and maintain inventory accuracy
- Follow cash handling policies and company procedures
- Adhere to company policies while ensuring document security and confidentiality
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service
- Proficient in operating a cash register and store equipment
- Capable of performing general cleaning tasks to company standards
- Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and within a team
- Detail-oriented with efficient multitasking skills
- Compliance with state and local regulations for alcohol sales
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior retail experience is a plus
