Job Description
We are looking for a skilled General Manager to join Mekiko Cantina, a thriving restaurant. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations, managing staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining operational standards.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the restaurant.
- Report directly to the Owners.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Hire and train restaurant staff.
- Organize and oversee staff schedules.
- Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations.
- Handle discipline and termination of employees according to company policy.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards.
- Manage customer satisfaction and handle complaints diplomatically.
- Ensure compliance with alcoholic beverage regulations.
- Manage food and beverage costs, inventory, and purchases.
- Collaborate with chefs on menu development.
- Maintain sales records and operational reports.
- Perform regular equipment inspections and maintenance scheduling.

- Proficient in restaurant technology and software.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous restaurant management experience required.

- Ability to move quickly around the restaurant.
- Stand for prolonged periods during shifts.
- Lift up to 25 pounds when necessary.
